John chapter one, the deity of Jesus Christ

JOHN CHAPTER ONE
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1 kjv
Some people have difficulty in understanding this plain truth. How could the Word be with God, and at the same time be God?
God always had a voice, God is not mute. In Genesis chapter one account we read,

Genesis 1:3,6,9,11,14,20,24,26,29 (KJV)
3] And God said, .....
6] And God said, .......
[9] And God said, .....
[11] And God said, .....
[14] And God said, .....
[20] And God said, .....
24] And God said, .....
26] And God said, .....
[29] And God said, .....
Nine times we read in the very first chapter of Genesis this phrase, "God said." God have a voice, He always does. When we speak, we utter what is in our heart.

Matthew 12:34 (KJV)
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

When God speak, it reveals the heart and will of God. Jesus is the Word of God, He is the Will of God, He is the Thought of God, He is God. The Word of God is not created, if The Word of God is created, it mean there was a time when God had no voice. The Word always existed with God, yet because The Word is intrinsically God's, It (He) is eternal.
John chapter one is just reinforcing Genesis one account of what God had done through His spoke Word, that now become flesh, and tabernacle with us.

John 1:14 (KJV)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

To fully understand John 1:1 we must understand this truth. God is never without a voice (The Word).

The incarnate Word, Emmanuel, The One that was from eternity past, is Jesus, The will of God, The Thought of God, The Word of God.

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

In this verse we see the dual nature of God, divine and human. See what is written of Him.
A child is born.
A son is given.
Then the titles that define His nature. Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Notice carefully that the child is mention separately from the son, yet it speaks of the same person. The child was born, not given. Mary birth the child, the child is not eternal, he is a natural child of flesh and blood. In this we see the humanity of Christ. He is the Word that became flesh.
Now let us see the Son. The Son was given, even tough Mary was the mother of the child, she was not the mother of the Son, the Son was given by God.
John 3:16 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This Son that was given is the eternal Son of God, who existed before all things, because He created all things.
Micah 5:2 (KJV)
But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Matthew 2:1 (KJV)
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Mary could not have birth the Son, The Son came to save the world from sin, because He was the perfect Son, the eternal Son, God's Son, and this Son was God Himself.

Lets look at what happened when Jesus was born in Bethlehem just as was prophesied.
Matthew 2:2 (KJV)
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

The wise men came to do what? They came to worship Him. Should anyone be worshipped except God? Did they worship Him when they found Him?
Matthew 2:11 (KJV)
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

So they did worship Him. God must be very displeased when them for doing this,
since Scripture tells us only God ought to be worship.
Let's see how God respond to this act of theirs.

Matthew 2:12 (KJV)
And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Wow, God was not angry with them at all, in fact God sent them a message through dream that they should not go back to Herod. It would seems like God was sanctioning this act of the wise men.
The truth is, He was. Worshipping Jesus is worshipping The Father. In fact you cannot worship The Father unless you worship the Son, why? Because The Son is the way to the Father, no man can come to The Father unless they come through Jesus The Christ.

John puts it this way,
1 John 2:22-23 (KJV)
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also .

So we see that The Father will not accept any worship if The Son is not also worshipped. Jesus also made a statement concerning tis same thing, listen.

John 5:22-23 (KJV)
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
[23] That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

This is made abundantly clear throughout Scripture, if you do not honor The Son, you cannot honor The Father. No man Jesus Christ from truth, because Jesus Christ is Truth. Truth is not a thing, Truth is a person. Satan is the author of lies. Jesus The Christ is the author of Truth.

Knowing the truth about who Jesus is must not be looked upon as a small matter, this involve your eternal destiny. The only one in this world that can set a man free from Satan's grip, is Truth, His name is Jesus The Christ.

John 1:1 (KJV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

God clothed His Word with flesh and send Him into the world to fulfill a specific purpose, that purpose is the salvation of the world. This act of God was to demonstrate His love to the world. The world have a choice, this is to accept the offer of God's love, or to reject it. Fighting against truth will only condemn us, accepting truth will only make us free.

God love is demonstrated in the gift that He chose to give, Je gave Himself, that' how much He loves us.
